Customer Stories

What you get when your medication management system fits your ASC

After implementing MedServe, our controlled substance inventory took 7 minutes on a weekday at 3pm. Prior to MedServe, it would have taken over 2 hours and required 2 people to come in on a Saturday.

Lisa Leathers Administrator at Columbia Orthopedic Group

If you are looking for a system that is easy to implement, affordable, space saver and better than a double key lock cabinet then you have found the right solution.

Heather CobbAdmin, Momentum Specialty Surgery Center

I am extremely happy with MedServe due to the ease of tracking our controlled substances. The time saving factor allows my staff time to take better care of our patients.

Kordell BengelRegional Manager, Tooth Town Dentistry for Kids

MedServe is the perfect size, we do not have to worry about any missing medications. MedServe helps track all the medications we use throughout the day and I can track who is using it. I love MedServe!

GailASC Administrator

Our controlled substance documentation accuracy was in the 80s. With MedServe, we're at 99% compliant. If there's a discrepancy, your leadership team is alerted at the time of the event. You're never in the dark.

Charlie AdamSCA Health

I would absolutely, 100%, recommend MedServe to everyone because it is such a great system. We have had several different facilities come to look at our MedServe and they cannot believe how great it is, how easy it is to use, and the cost of MedServe. It is really affordable.

Frequently asked questions

What is MedServe?
MedServe is a digital narcotic cabinet and management system. It automates controlled substance storage, tracking, and dispensing to enhance security, streamline workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance. With features like real-time reporting and automated audit trails, MedServe helps healthcare facilities reduce the risk of diversion while improving efficiency and patient safety.
How does MedServe help prevent narcotic diversion?
MedServe's digital narcotic cabinets utilize digital locks, multi-factor authentication, real-time tracking, and digital access control to ensure only authorized personnel can access medications. Every transaction is logged, reducing the risk of diversion and improving compliance.
Is MedServe compliant with DEA and state regulations?
Yes, MedServe is designed to meet or exceed DEA and state requirements for controlled substance storage and documentation. Our system provides detailed audits and access controls to support compliance efforts.
How does MedServe integrate with existing ASC workflows?
MedServe has built standard one-way interfaces with common EHR solutions leveraged by ASCs including HST Pathways, Surgical Information Systems (SIS), and Epic that enable facilities to preload key patient demographic and scheduling data to increase efficiency through reducing data entry. MedServe has the capability to develop additional interfaces and integrations using the platform's API and HL7 connector capabilities. Contact sales@medserverx.com for additional information.
What happens if there is a power outage?
We recommend using a red outlet and having backup power available for a MedServe. In the event of a power outage, each MedServe cabinet has a secure double-locked, manual override mechanism onboard.
What happens if there are network connectivity issues or an internet outage?
MedServe is able to continue to function and log data even without network connectivity. While offline, the data will be logged and temporarily stored on the MedServe HUB.
How does MedServe improve efficiency for staff?
By eliminating manual logbooks and automating medication tracking, MedServe reduces administrative burden, minimizes errors, and allows staff to focus more on patient care instead of paperwork.
What kind of training and support does MedServe provide?
As part of our onboarding services we provide comprehensive administrator and staff training virtually or onsite. We offer additional training and ongoing support resources through our online customer support center. Our US-based customer service team is available for troubleshooting and assistance as needed.
How secure is the MedServe system?
MedServe uses digital double locking authentication, encrypted data storage, and real-time monitoring to protect against unauthorized access. Our security measures are designed to keep your facility compliant and safe.
What facilities benefit most from MedServe?
MedServe is ideal for ASCs, outpatient surgery centers, urgent care clinics, and other point-of-care facilities that manage controlled substances. It enhances security, compliance, and operational efficiency for any facility handling narcotics.
